Απ’ τη Ζωή βγαλμένα
(straight outta Life)
«Απ’ τη Ζωή βγαλμένα» roughly translates to “straight outta Life” in English, but that doesn’t quite capture the whole meaning because «Απ’ τη Ζωή βγαλμένα» is actually a pun.
In Greek, my name, Zoe, is the same word as life – Ζωή, and therefore «Απ’ τη Ζωή βγαλμένα» has two layers:
- everything that comes straight outta life
…but also - everything that comes straight outta Zoe- out of me.
I’ve been obsessed with puns ever since I remember myself and I think that the reason is clear: their innate dual essence, the paradox that one thing can mean something but if you go a little deeper it can also mean something else, basically their whole self-referential, double spirit perfectly reflects human nature for me and the very important message that nothing is just what it seems.
This belief has shaped not only my thinking, but also the way I lead my business. Ever since I launched my company, my motto has been that “the balance in people’s inner identities fights toxic work cultures”, but frankly, this is incomplete.
The balance in people’s inner identities, also empowers mental health.
It celebrates diversity.
It allows you to make mistakes, fail, then fail better before restarting.
It helps you connect, change, embrace disagreements, accept differences and forgive.
The balance in people’s inner identities determines the quality of their lives.
But what is identity, really?
How many identities exist and how many can one person embody?
What do we do when one identity, for example the professional one, takes so much space that there’s no room for others to evolve?
What happens when one identity brings us shame?
How do we move on when our most important identity collapses or breaks?
I don’t really have answers but like any good psychologist, I have the right questions.
«Απ’τη Ζωή βγαλμένα» will be a vodcast that explores these questions next to amazing people who have incredible stories to share.
Over the course of 18 one hour-episodes, we’ll laugh, learn and get inspired together.
But I won’t be doing this alone.
I want you to be a part of it.
Although the episodes are in Greek, the YouTube videos will have both Greek and English subs, so everyone can join the conversation. I’d love to hear your feedback and recommendations for guests—people with multiple identities who can teach us a thing or two about juggling life, being multidimensional and celebrating multipotentialite.
Rest assured, I’ll read every message.
(Or at least, Georgia will! 😊)
Keep shining and stay in touch.
Love & Light,
